Getting started

Before you install

FluentOverlay runs on Windows 10 (19041+) or Windows 11, currently targeting x64 public builds. .NET 10 is bundled with the app — you do not install a separate runtime.

• Microsoft Store — use the Store link on the FluentOverlay page when that channel is available.
• Direct MSI — use the non-Store install path from the same page when that channel is available.

Get to your first shortcut

Result: FluentOverlay is running in the system tray and ready to answer the next shortcut question without taking over the desktop. Right-click the tray icon whenever you want to open Settings for theme, columns, triggers, or behavior toggles.

Default activation is a double-tap of Ctrl (timing and key are configurable in Settings).

Use the overlay

1. Focus any supported application.
2. Double-tap your trigger — the overlay opens above the active window.
3. Browse grouped shortcuts (often mirroring app menus) or type to search with fuzzy and synonym matching.
4. Dismiss by double-tapping the trigger again, pressing Esc, or clicking outside.

Pro adds click-to-execute: pick an entry and FluentOverlay sends the keystroke sequence for you. Free tier shows the keys so you can type them manually.

Buy and activate Pro

Pro is sold as a one-time website purchase through Lemon Squeezy hosted checkout. After checkout, Lemon Squeezy emails your receipt and license key to the address you used for the purchase.

1. Open Pricing and choose Buy Pro.
2. Complete the hosted checkout.
3. Install or open FluentOverlay.
4. Open Settings → About → License and paste the license key.

Activation details follow the checkout offer and license email. If you replace hardware or need a reset, contact support from the website.
